Please won't you show me the way 'Cause I really want to know I've got to get on my way The time is now for me to go Please show me the way 'Cause I really want to know I've got to get on my way The time is now for me to go My head spins round and round But my mind can't hear a sound Been with you all these years I held back a million tears Please won't you show me the way Please won't you show me the way 'Cause I really want to know I've got to get on my way The time is now for me to go Please show me the way 'Cause I really want to know I've got to get on my way The time is now for me to go Gently set me on the ground You just left without a sound So alone, you've disappeared No way back, I'm lost, I fear Please show me the way

I drive out Through the night To you Along the empty road Left all my things behind For just one night And in my mind I see you standing there I will find you In the place where the stars disappear And you’ll know me In the place where the stars disappear Who are you now? A photo in my dreams Memories Of a life we never lived I roll my window down A letter on the seat Meant long ago for you Blows away I will find you In the place where the stars disappear And you’ll know me In the place where the stars disappear Time and time and Time and time and Time and time and Time and time again I will wait for you Will you wait for me?

One by one into the sky Never looking down heads held high Waves below break on the shore We close our eyes and hear no more Autumn words you whisper in my ears Promises take away all my fears Silver clouds shine in your eyes As we soar through crystal skies Touching pyramids of neon light Hand in hand we share the night Autumn words you whisper in my ears Promises take away all my fears

about

"One minute you’re jamming out to a funky, vocoder-heavy tune, and the next you find yourself immersed in a soothing, atmospheric masterpiece. As a debut album, Your Future Awaits is nothing short of spectacular."
- ABSYNTH

"Simply put, damn, this is good. Elegant, classic sounding arrangements, captivating melodies, full, diverse and interesting soundscape. The lead synth work is so, so beautiful."
- The Electroscape

"The antidote to so much copy-catting and mediocrity in the scene. Very original with a great combination of rock, pop, synthwave and more classic EDM."
- Forever Synth

"Your Future Awaits is a synth album that ranges through an auditory landscape that is full of a stunning variety of synth sounds along with a musical sensibility that creates a cohesive expression of emotion. Electron Odyssey’s album is one of my favourites of the year."
- Karl Magi

"Yes there’s plenty of ear pleasing big beats, gargantuan synths and sizzling guitar licks, but there’s also a gentler touch and a hint of melancholy on some tracks, making the album stand out above the usual generic synthwave that often floods the Electronica scene. Highly recommended."
- Homebrew Electronica Show

"Jeff Spoonhower brings his 20 years of experience working in video games to the dazzling synthwave he makes as Electron Odyssey."
- Bandcamp Editorial

----------------

"Your Future Awaits" is the debut full-length album from musician and producer Jeff Spoonhower - aka Electron Odyssey. After working for 20 years in the video game industry as an art director, animator, and sound designer, Jeff decided to chase down his dream of producing original electronic music.

The album is inspired by several musical genres including synthwave, progressive rock, synth-driven pop, and movie and video game soundtracks. Jeff's goal for the album was to explore many different styles of composition and instrumentation and to take listeners on an emotional, retro-futuristic sonic journey.

Jeff's music feels both nostalgic and new through the fusion of classic electronic instruments from the 1970s and 1980s, acoustic and orchestral textures, and modern production techniques.
